I began
theBlountWeb in
1997 with the
publishing of
over 300 pages,
Over the years
it has contained
over 6,000 pages
but at this time
is between 2,500
and 3,000 pages.
It
could be more
because I don't
count them
anymore... just
something else
to keep track
of. Because of
it's large size
I started
spreading it out
by buying other
domains to
accommodate
various
categories which
were heavily
trafficked,
lodging, real
estate and the
building trades
being among the
most frequented.
Since then I
have placed
online various
domains as they
became
necessary. I
will not sell
subscriptions to
any business
outside Blount
County as this
would defeat the
integrity of the
initial design
purpose... to
serve Blount
County. |

Throughout the
BlountWeb
Directories I've
tried to
cross-link to
other
directories when
ever possible.
Examples of this
would be, from
"Carpet" you
will find a link
to "Carpet
Cleaners" and
visa versa, from
"Real Estate"
you will find a
link to the
"Building
Trades", etc.
There are 100's
of cross-links
inside

Townsend the
Peaceful Side
|
In 2001, and
after being
asked by a few
Townsend clients
over the years
to do a web site
specific to the
Townsend and
Walland area I
published
Townsend the
Peaceful Side
which to my
amazement
quickly started
bringing in
visitors and has
continued to
grow from the
beginning of its
inception. Again
(as
theBlountWeb)
this site serves
only Townsend
and Walland
businesses in
Blount County
Tennessee.

Cades Cove in
the Smokies
|
This web site is
about Cades Cove
in the Great
Smoky Mountains
National Park
and happens to
be in Blount
County. Although
still undergoing
design I put it
online late in
2007. I
encourage anyone
with photographs
to please submit
for publication
in this web
site. As I
continue to work
on Cades Cove in
the Smokies I
will spread it
out as to make
it a little
easier to digest
all the
information...
at this point it
is somewhat
crowded.

Smoky Mountain
Softball Classic |
Over the years
I've had many
occasion to work
with our Parks
and Rec on many
projects in
designing and
publishing
various
projects. From
Frank Bradley to
Joe Huff I've
enjoyed a great
relationship
working with
everyone
involved in what
I feel to be one
of the best
Parks & Rec
Commissions in
the State of
Tennessee. These
people work hard
to bring us
clean parks and
great
recreational
programs serving
young and old
alike. This site
serves one of
the premier
Classic Softball
Tournaments in
the United
States held
every year in
July. |

Camp Forrest |
This web site
started out as a
few pages inside
theBlountWeb
honoring our
citizens who
have served this
country. Don't
ask me why but
over the years I
started getting
so much email
about this
site.... people
inquiring about
other people and
information that
I put Camp
Forrest online
in late 2006. If
you know of
relatives or
friends who
might have
trained at Camp
Forrest or
happened to be
interned at Camp
Forrest during
WWII please send
for publication. |
